A volte basta ribaltare il punto di vista convenzionale per scoprire nuove prospettive e potenzialità. Nel progetto di rigenerazione dell’ex palazzo della Wind, situato nel quartiere EUR a Roma, il team della divisione Cityscape de Il Prisma ha capovolto lo sguardo, dal piano terra al piano copertura, scoprendo così che l’edificio, in apparenza introverso e slegato dal contesto circostante, si trova in realtà immerso nella ricca cornice verde dei giardini e parchi della città.
Da qui l’idea di portare il verde a bordo del progetto per restituire forma, vita e valore all’edificio. Trasformando i suoi spazi tecnici in nuovi setting lavorativi, informali e relax, e creando un legame armonioso con il contesto circostante. E così il verde dell’area, dal Parco delle Tre Fontane fino alla Tenuta di Tormarancia, avanza nello spazio business, innestando nuovi dialoghi e generando nuove dinamiche di vita – all’interno e all’intorno del building.
La riqualificazione comincia dal piano copertura, 1200 metri quadri calpestabili. Fioriere e nuovi punti panoramici, innestati su una struttura di metallo – l’elemento chiave dell’intervento, – trasformano il tetto tecnico in una terrazza viva e green. Una trasformazione che innesca la riqualificazione funzionale ed estetica degli spazi esterni dell’edificio, contaminando le facciate e il piano terra. Quest’ultimo reimmaginato come un grande spazio di accoglienza, in cui ogni elemento strutturale e d’arredo richiama il concept curvilineo della terrazza.

Sometimes all you need is a flip of the conventional point of view, to uncover new perspectives and opportunities. In the regeneration project for a former palace of the Italian telecom operator Wind, located in Rome’s EUR neighborhood, the team of the Cityscape business unit of Il Prisma flipped attention from the building’s ground floor to the top covering. Introvert in appearance and disconnected from the surrounding context, the building, it turned out, was actually immersed in a rich green framework of the city’s gardens and parks.
Hence the idea to employ the green as one of the project drivers to revive the building and restore its shape and value – by transforming its technical spaces into new informal and relaxed work settings, and by creating a harmonious link with the surrounding context. In this way, the area’s greenery, from the Park of the Three Fountains to the Tormarancia Estate, moves into the business space implanting new dialogues and generating new dynamics of life—inside and around the building.
The redevelopment starts from the top covering floor, 1200 square meters of walkable space. Flowerpots and new panoramic viewpoints implanted on a metal structure—intervention’s key element—turn a technical rooftop into a live and green terrace. The transformation triggers a functional and aesthetic redevelopment of the building’s external spaces, contaminating the facades and the ground floor; the latter reimagined as a spacious welcome area where each and every interior design element invokes the curvilineus concept of the terrace.
